Land Use Consulting:
- Represents landowners, developers, individuals and businesses before various city boards or commissions when rezoning, platting or subdividing property
- Assists with due diligence zoning analysis of properties and mediating disputes surrounding new development

Plano City Council
Mayor Pro Tem
- Elected three times, at-large, as the first district representative to East Plano
- Served during a period of dynamic growth in Plano, which included significant new infrastructure investment, corporate relocations, residential and commercial development, as well as the implementation of a growth and revitalization program for east Plano
- City Council representative to the Plano Economic Development Board and the east Plano Development Task Force
- Mayoral appointments included Liaison to the Planning and Zoning Commission and the Heritage Commission
Volunteer History
- Plano Community Relations Commission: Made recommendations to Council regarding the Community Development Block Grant and the Community Service Grants
- Plano East Senior High, School-Based Improvement Committee: Made recommendations to the principal on programs and initiatives intended to improve learning and create a positive environment in the school community
- Southwood Estates Homeowners Association, Vice-President: Elected by neighbors to facilitate communication with the City of Plano and implement strategies to improve neighborhood safety, appearance, quality of life and property values
- Mendenhall Elementary PTA, Board Member

Cheryl's dedication to family
Cheryl and her husband of 24 years, Don, live in the Canyon Creek neighborhood in the City of Richardson. Cheryl and Don have two adult sons, both of whom are fourth generation Texans.
