Keeping Taxes Low
If there was ever an issue near and dear to the hearts of Collin County residents, it 's lower taxes! Reducing spending and keeping taxes low is Cheryl's top priority.
Cheryl Williams has a conservative record when it comes to administering tax dollars. She knows that tax dollars belong to taxpayers, and while on Plano City Council, not only did she lower city taxes, but she sent rebate checks back to city residents. Cheryl stood for the taxpayers!
Economic Development
Cheryl Williams is a strong proponent of economic development initiatives including Collin County’s most important economic development tool - improved transportation. She advocates updating the County Master Thoroughfare Plan to assess future transportation needs. She favors continuing to partner with Collin County cities on transportation and economic development so the County can continue to attract new businesses providing employment opportunities and an increased tax base thereby keeping the County’s tax rate low. She supports Collin County continuing plans to hold periodic bond elections to give voters an opportunity to support investments such as new roads and parks in the County.

Cheryl believes in free enterprise and the spirit of American innovation, and that government exists to provide only essential services to citizens.
